Creating a Gmail account is a simple task with our step-by-step guide and video!
Gmail is one of the most popular platforms for email accounts because of how user-friendly it is, it’s also free and you can access it from anywhere on most (if not all) devices connected to the internet! What’s more, Gmail is one of the most secure web-based platforms so you can be sure that your data will be safe with your Gmail account.
So, let’s set up your new Gmail account!
Step 1. Navigate to Gmail
First things first, make your way to the Gmail Homepage.
Step 2. Click 'Create an Account' in the top right-hand corner Clicking this will take you to the right page so that you can get started with making your new account.
Step 3. Fill out the form with your details being sure to create a secure password Google will ask you for your first and last name, a username, and a password which you’ll have to insert twice to make sure it’s the correct one! Whatever you pick for your username will be the start of your new email address. If the one you want is already taken, you might have to try a few different options before you find an available one.
Step 4. Read and agree to the terms and conditions
The terms and conditions can make for quite a long bedtime reading. However, they set out key information regarding how Google uses your data, your privacy entitlements and similar other information that Google are legally required to get your acceptance of.
